Day one of the Cheltenham Festival starts with the Supreme Novices Hurdle and Dunguib will be most peoples banker to get them off to a flying start. Whilst he is potentially very good hes not the most fluent hurdler & I fancy taking him on with GET ME OUT OF HERE who has proved he can win in big fields with a strong pace & in my opinion has already shown a higher level of form. He is currently best priced with 6/1 however Paddy Power bookmakers are offering to refund all win stakes if Dunguib wins and that is a good offer.
My second bet on day one is in the third race, the William Hill Trophy and its called THE PACKAGE. Hes a course winner which is always important here, goes well fresh & has been laid out for this. He is currently best priced 6/1
The feature race is the Champion Hurdle & I feel it is wide open this year with no outstanding candidate. Binocular is one that I thought would make a champion but his performances this season have been below par, an injury was diagnosed & the indications are the problem has been cured as he done a brilliant piece of work last week. He might just be a value bet at current odds of 8/1
